Fresh & Clean Christmas!

This evening is my monthly stampers club and we will be making two fun Christmas cards and I thought I would share one with you. I decided to use the sketch provided by Freshly Made Sketches and will be entering this card in their weekly challenge.

I have been very into making rosettes lately, I LOVE my score tool and any chance I can use it I do! There are so many fun looks you can go with. This week I decided to keep with a basic design to keep the card simple and clean. I went with the colour theme from Stampin' UP!'s Holly Berry Bouquet DSP. Love the colour embossing powder and Wild Wasabi fit this card perfectly.

 Tiny Tips:
Over the past few weeks I have been struggling with the best choice of adhesive when making my rosettes and today I came to the conclusion that a hot glue gun works the best. It dries almost instantly and provides an excellent firm base for the centre of your rosette. You can be certain it will not come apart when assembling your card.
 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful focal point! love the extra sparkle!

  2. Lovin' those rosettes! I can't stop making them either!! So pretty with the silver glitter paper in the middle...and I agree on Hot Glue; I have tried everything too! Thanks for joining Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. The rosettes look awesome with the silver glimmer paper and I agree, hot glue seems to be the best adhesive for rosettes. Thanks for playing along with Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  4. This is lovely Hayley ... that rosette is beautiful especially with the addition of that sparkly centre scallop!
Beautiful in every way .... love your clean styling!
Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!!!

  5. Gorgeous rosette, Hayley! I love the accent of the glimmer paper and button! I have yet to master the rosettes myself, but you seem to have them down for sure! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  6. Love the rosette done with that DSP. Perfect! Thanks for playing with Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  7. That is one gorgeous rosette! And I love how you finished it off with glimmer paper and a button. So sweet! Thanks for the tip about the hot glue. I've been using glue dots with lukewarm success. And thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
