Merry Little Penguins

We are having a great visit with mom!!! So nice to have her here with us :) Ethan has pretty much been attached to her at the hip since she arrived, which has been nice for this mama having a wee break :) I love my little man don't get me wrong, but you mama's out there know what I mean!

Here is my Merry Monday challenge, have I said before how much I LOVE this challenge :) I am telling there is just something so fun about making 1 Christmas card a week that rather than 100 all at once hehehe

My Challenge:

My Card:

I used the "masking" technique for the very first time with this card and was really impressed at how easy it was! I stamped the penguins first and then stamped them again on a posted note and cut them out, laid them over my stamped penguins and then stamped the trees over the posted note penguins and here you go! I chose to just spot colour the image with the two main colours in the dsp.

Thanks for stoppin' by!

  2. I love these penguins, they are from one of my favorite Christmas sets, and you did a fantastic job with the masking! Love how you only colored part of it to highlight the trees!

  7. Great job masking, Hayley! I agree with you about making a Christmas card a week...SOOOO much easier than having to do so many at once. :)
