Valentine’s Day is approaching and so I have been making special cards for those loves in my life! This week I combined the Freshly Made Sketch with the Colour Throw Down Swatch and this is what I came up with.

Tiny Tips:
A fun way to add a little colour to your main card stock is to use the letterpress plates from Stampin’ UP! I chose the Heart Pressed and Lots of Love plates for this card and simply used my brayer to apply the real red ink to the plate before sliding it through my big shot. Now I had to be very careful and steady handed to get it on my first try as any shift in the cardstock will smudge your image. Thanks for stoppin’ by!
How sweet is this! The letterpressing looks great - not a smudge in sight! And I love the little cupid!
ReplyDeleteCute Valentine card. Great take on both challenges! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
ReplyDeleteAw, very sweet! Love the letterpress plates! Thanks for playing the Color Throwdown!
ReplyDeleteI finally used my LOVE letterpress plate last week and I loved it too. They add some nice detail to cards for sure. I love that you used two of them on this one! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, the letter press plate is fabulous. This is a wonderful Valentine.
