Sunday Stamps ~ Colour Challenge Time!

Happy Sunday All! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Did anyone head out for some Black Friday Shopping? I was tempted but the crowds are not something I can handle anymore :) Today Tara is bringing us a colour Challenge over at Sunday Stamps http://sundaystamps.blogspot.ca

Going to be another quick post but I am just happy to be getting them up these day! When I first saw these colours together I thought of the beach :) Sort of a nautical theme really.

I just love the texture in the Crumb Cake paper. Totally gives that sandy feel I was going for with this card :)

Merry Monday ~ I'm Back :)

Happy Friday All! Going to be a short post as the little lady is waking up but wanted to get this card up before the deadline.

I have not had a chance to make many posts lately but think I will be able to slowly get back in the game now that Claire is starting to settle into a routine.

Here is my Merry Monday card. I really liked this week's sketch and could not wait to put my ideas to work!

I absolutely LOVE this transparent sheet of in the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP pack from Stampin' UP! This is the first time I have used it but have a feeling I will be using it all up before too long :) And rosettes who doesn't love a good rosette!

I broke out some items from the retiree pile to make our daughter's Birth Announcements because I really loved the colour theme of this DSP. I did take a few liberties with some of the colours mixing and matching but as this was a personal project and not one I would be offering in my classes I let my creativity run a little wild :)

Sunday Stamps & Try Stampin' on a Tuesday ~ Belated Happy Birthday Grammie Kew!

Here we are Sunday again :) I have to admit the days all seem to be sort of blending together for us. With my husband on parental leave as well everyday seems like the weekend!

October was a busy month for us as so it just occurred to me a few days ago that we forgot to get a Birthday Card in the mail to Mark's grandmother who turned 75 on October 22nd! I am sure she will understand but just in case we are mailing this one off with some pictures of her sweet great grandkids to smooth things over :)

For this card I used our fabulous colour combo challenge over at Sunday Stamps and paired them with a fantastic sketch over at Try Stampin' on a Tuesday! It has been such a long time since I have been able to take part in two challenges at the same time and I sure hope to get back to some regular posting as life starts to settle down a little for us.

*NOTE: Have to apologize for the low quality of the photos, was forced to take them with my phone when I could not locate my camera!

I find myself always concerned with colouring in the lines and keeping things nice and clean but on this card I decided to go a little wild with some "messy colouring" hope you like :)

Sunday Stamps ~ It's a GIRL!

Hello All! Just 2 days after my last blog post our baby girl arrived :) Claire Gwenyth was born on October 16th and we have been taking some time to settle in as a family. She is an absolutely wonderful baby and her big brother Ethan is so very in love with her, he cannot give her enough hugs and kisses. We feel so very blessed to have such a sweet little boy and precious baby girl and now our family is complete!

As I have been recovering I have not been spending much time in my craft room *tear* but I am slowly getting back at it! I made a digital card for the first but next week I promise I am back to paper! Joan brought us a fabulous sketch this week and it was great to get back in the crafting state of mind :) Come check us out and play along at Sunday Stamps (http://sundaystamps.blogspot.ca/)!!!

Sunday Stamps ~ I'm Your Hostess!!!

Baby is now officially overdue... Following in his or her brother's footsteps we see. But he turned out to be a pretty awesome kid so that is okay :) Crossing our fingers any day now he or she will arrive!!!

Moving right on through October with another Sunday Stamps Challenge for you all. Today I am hosting and challenging you to create with some fantastic Stampin' UP! colours (or remember if you do not have these exact colours anything you have which closely resembles them will do!!!). I have to admit I am not a huge fan of the colour pink but I am trying to work outside my box lately and thought it would be fun to mix it up with one colour I really love - Not Quite Navy.

Sunday Stamps ~ Fall Sketch

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers! Hope that you have all had a fabulous long weekend filled with family, friends, food and FUN :) Turkey today and off to pick our pumpkin tomorrow!

Day of Gratitude is one of my favourite stamp sets. The medallion stamp (though I did not use it on this card) is so pretty I was really happy to see it made the catalogue this year!
