My Olympic Rings :)

6 days... :)

So when I saw this challenge over at The Friday Mashup I was really not sure who I could make this card for and then I realized that I know someone who knows someone who is going to The Olympics in London! My sister in law's cousin will be competing in swimming so I have made this card for her to pass along as to her before she makes the trip :)

My Challenge:

1.    Make a project with "The Olympic Colour Combination of Marina Mist, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi & Red."
2.    Or Make a Project using "Multiple Circles."
3.    Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Olympic Color Combo and Multiple Circles."

Patio Party Birthday!

2nd post of the day and yes folks it will be a quick one too :) I have a mile long to do list before we head home but just hate missing challenge deadlines when I have already worked so hard on my submission!!!

This card was made using the Try Stampin' on a Tuesday sketch. I have to say I am quite smitten with this card and though there is A LOT to look at I just love it :)

My Challenge:

My Card:

"Hello" :)

Today officially marks ONE WEEK BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR VACATION!!! Can you tell I am just a tad excited :) Started out the week on a super happy note. We had yet another ultrasound this morning and Baby Kew is looking fabulous, growing as he or she should be and all is well!

This week I will be pretty much doing fly by blog posts. Not a lot of time to be long winded but wanted to play along as much as possible before I have to say goodbye to my craft room for 7 weeks and my resources will be quite limited lol

Here is my Freshly Made card using the colour theme from The Colour Throwdown. Once again I just LOVE this set and these colours just said nautical to me :)

My Challenges:

My Card:

When I showed this card to my hubby he said he liked it but it looked a little "plain" well little does he know I have been striving to make cards that are more simple but I still like this one lol

Sunday Stamps - Colour Challenge!

What a busy week... I know you are all probably thinking, does this lady have anything BUT busy weeks! I do but leading up to vacation there are so many things to tie up! ONE WEEK until we leave for Nova Scotia :)

Sunday is here, and that means it is time for my Sunday Stamps post! There were some really great entries for last week's sketch challenge and I am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for this week's colour challenge.

This week's colour combo was:
·         Primrose Petals (new IN colour)
·         Summer Starfruit (new IN colour)
·         Basic Gray
I really liked this combo and think for sure that Primrose Petals is a new favourite colour of mine!

Happy Christmas in July

I seem to be the Queen of quick posts these days but I just don't want to miss a deadline and with getting ready for our vacation I am a busy bee!!! So many details to wrap up before we head out of town for 7 weeks and then come back to have our baby just 6 weeks later!

For this post I combined the Dynamic Duos colour challenge (Crumb cake and a colour of our choice - I chose Gumball Green!), a past Merry Monday sketch (for card #2 of 4 for this month's challenge!) and The Paper Players theme challenge (Christmas!).

My Challenges:

My Card:

I just love the detail of this particular tree stamp. So simple but so cute!

Ostridge? :)

Just popping in with a very quick post (so much to do before we leave for vacation!!!) for my Friday Mashup card! Who doesn't love punch art :) So many cute little designs out there! I found this "little" birdie in my search and thought it was SUPER cute. I wanted to add my own flare so I added some texture on the body to give her a more realistic look.

My Challenge:
1.    Make a project with "Punch Art".
2.    Or Make a project featuring your "Favorite Animal".
3.    Or "Mash it Up" and create a project "with an Animal made from Punches".

My Card:

At first I just had her on the card with some cute dsp behind her but then thought it would be cute to add a scene and so I punched out and sponged some bushes and added the sky and clouds too. I thought the "Wish Big" was a good sentiment as Ostridge are very BIG birds :)

Merry Monday Guest Designer Spot!

Happy Monday All, LOVE holiday Mondays! So nice to have an extra day to spend as a family. We have had a busy but fabulous weekend. Mark's Grandmother was in town for a family reunion this weekend and we got to have a nice visit with her as well. Ethan just LOVES having family in town! He is one social butterfly :)

I was so excited when my Snowman card WON the Merry Monday Challenge and that gave me a guest spot this week on the Design Team! So happy to be able to stamp along with all the lovely, talented ladies who bring super fab projects weekly for us all to play along with!

This week we were asked to pick a sketch from any of the past Merry Monday sketches. I only found this project at week 14 so I had many to chose from that I had not tried yet. It was a tough choice because they all rock but I went with the Week #9 sketch, which was designed by a good friend of Lesley's, Torico. You should pop over to to check out her blog http://birdiebrown.blogspot.ca!

Also this particular challenge will run for the whole month of July while some the design team members take a blogging vacation!  We are encouraged to make 4 cards over the course of the month using 4 sketches from the past. Here is card #1 of 4 :)

Our Challenge:

My Card:

This is my FAVOURITE Holiday paper over at Stampin' UP! this year, Be of Good Cheer. I tend to gravitate to the more tradition colour themes for my cards so Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla fit the bill :)
