Good Evening all. Hope you are all having a wonderful start
to your week. As per my blog post from this morning, the Kew family are loving
life!!!
I was really looking forward to this week's challenge over at
The Friday Mashup. My father gave over 20 years of his life to the Canadian
Navy and I feel very proud of the commitment he made to serving the great
country we Canadians are blessed to call home.
I agree we owe a huge debt of gratitude to those men and
women who serve to protect us all, but I feel there are also very strong men
and women who are not thought of enough and those are the spouses and families behind
the soldiers. My mom is one of them and looking back on my childhood I cannot
begin to imagine how she was able to keep it all together with three children
and a husband who worked so very hard and in doing so was not always there.
The sketch for this card came from Try Stampin' on a Tuesday,
which I did this week! I found it to be perfect and simple to not take away
from the overall look of the card.
